IT'S A HAT TRICK - THIRD ENERGY SUPPLIER ANNOUNCES PRICE RISES

Scottish and Southern Energy has become the third energy supplier to announce a rise in gas and electricity prices this winter.
The new charges will apply from 14th September 2011 and will mean a typical annual dual fuel bill will increase by £171 to £1265.
Scottish and Southern Energy owns Southern Electric, Swalec and Scottish Hydro and has 5.2million household electricity customers and 3.6million domestic gas users.
Scottish Power and British Gas have already announced price rises.
