PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: CONDENSATE FREEFLO
Condensate FreeFlo is an innovative new solution that prevents the build-up of ice on external pipe runs from condensing boilers.
A self-contained unit, Condensate FreeFlo continually monitors the outside air temperature. When it falls below 5˚C, a fan pushes air into a heater unit, which then blows warm air down the pipe to ensure it remains free of ice in all weather conditions, down to -15˚C.
Quick and easy to install using one power cable, Condensate FreeFlo operates fully automatically, with no householder intervention required. The unit runs a weekly self-test program to ensure it is working correctly and automatically restarts after power loss.
For maximum energy efficiency, Condensate FreeFlo controls the airflow rate and temperature in line with external temperature fluctuations and the unit will only activate when weather conditions drop below 5˚C.

Condensing gas boilers now account for over 65% of boiler installations in the UK and at least 50% have an external pipe to drain away the condensate produced during the combustion process, which is susceptible to freezing.
Frozen condensate pipes can result in boiler breakdown and water seepage into the home, and typically require two visits from service engineers to remove and then replace the frozen pipe, causing disruption to householders.
