You might have spotted the recent Government announcements surrounding the future of home heating in relation to the UK’s Net Zero targets, and what can be done to improve existing system efficiency in the meantime. Remi Volpe, Managing Director at Drayton, discusses two new measures likely to be introduced; system balancing and the mandatory installation of thermostatic radiator valves, and how this can improve efficiency.
Drayton pledges support to LOCAL MARINE CONSERVATION CHARITY

As part of our annual selected charity pledges, Drayton has made a donation to local marine conservation charity, Fathoms Free, a group run entirely by volunteers working tirelessly to remove plastics and other debris from UK waters, and campaign for better treatment of our coastlines.

The corporate league table, compiled by researcher Corporate Knights, ranks over 8,000 high-revenue companies in terms of sustainability. UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has set out a 10-point plan to revolutionise the sustainability of British industry, and is set to deploy £12 billion of government funding in areas including clean energy, nature, transport and innovative technologies; a plan being tipped as our Green Industrial Revolution.
The plan will create and support up to 250,000 British jobs in these sectors to support sustainability goals, which ultimately aim to eliminate the UK’s climate change contribution by 2050.Wiser Continues Sponsorship Of Exeter Chiefs As They Set Sights To World Domination

It’s been an historic month for the Exeter Chiefs, they closed their 2019-2020 season with not one but TWO Cups for their rapidly-filling trophy cabinet.

We’re delighted to announce that Wiser, Drayton's smart thermostat system has been nominated for Best Heating System or Product in this year’s BuildIt awards. This follows Wiser being named by T3 as one of the best smart thermostats of 2020 in September.
We hope to add this award to our accolades. This is the second year running we have been shortlisted for this award, with Wiser being recognised for its ease of installation, affordability, flexibility and expandability.

Heating Controls Included In Government Green Homes Grant

Drayton by Schneider Electric was today encouraged by the announcement from the Government on the detail of the much anticipated Green Homes Grants. Encouraging and supporting energy efficiency measures will be a key pillar of the UK’s plans to build back better.
This new scheme aims to upgrade over 600,000 homes by covering two thirds of the cost of energy efficiency measures up to £10,000.
