    According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the energy sector produces around 75% of global greenhouse gas emissions, a major contributor to climate change.
    For the world to reach net zero emissions targets by 2050, the IEA has recommended no new fossil fuel-powered boilers should be sold from 2025, in their Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector recently released in the run-up to this year’s COP26 conference in Glasgow.

    UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has set out a 10-point plan to revolutionise the sustainability of British industry, and is set to deploy £12 billion of government funding in areas including clean energy, nature, transport and innovative technologies; a plan being tipped as our Green Industrial Revolution.
     
    The plan will create and support up to 250,000 British jobs in these sectors to support sustainability goals, which ultimately aim to eliminate the UK’s climate change contribution by 2050.
